Het Figuur…
Het idee voor deze voorstelling begon met een artikel dat we vonden op NU.nl.
Dr Soki, zowel geoloog als sociaal psycholoog, stelt in dit artikel dat de aarde steeds meer vermenselijkt, zoveel dat de mens haast niet meer kan aarden. Gefascineerd door deze uitspraak gaan wij op zoek naar wat dit vermenselijken precies betekent.
Hoe verhoudt de mens zich tot de veelheid om zich heen? Grenzen, zowel op grond als in hoofd zijn soms noodzakelijk, maar wat als daarmee de grens met het onbekende, het ongeplande en het onvoorspelbare verder en verder van ons af wordt geduwd? Wat gebeurd er als het onvoorspelbare steeds meer gemaakt wordt tot iets angstaanjagends en bestempeld wordt als iets onmenselijks?
De mens heeft zichzelf in de huidige wereld tot grond onder eigen voet benoemd, maar is het voor de mens, om zichzelf uiteindelijk niet plat te lopen, niet noodzakelijk een onmenselijke tegenhanger te hebben? RoosWiesBlauw presenteert in deze voorstelling een onderzoek naar deze tegenhanger en hoe de mens zich verhoudt tot dat wat is.
In het eerste gedeelte van onze voorstelling geven wij in tekst en beeld een korte presentatie naar aanleiding van een artikel van Dr. Soki. Hij beschrijft hierin het vermenselijken van zowel het uiterlijk als het innerlijk landschap van de mens en trekt een parallel tussen hoofd en aardoppervlak.
Soki, wetenschapper en man van theorie, verwijst ons uiteindelijk door naar zijn jeugdvriend Sehnor Hermoes in Brazilië. Deze organiseert expedities het woud in naar Het Figuur van wie het onmogelijk bleek de menselijke maat te nemen. De gedeelde ervaring en het aangaan van het onbekende en ongeplande staan hierin voorop.
Het tweede gedeelte van de voorstelling zingen wij met het Hart Koor. Niet in staat onze ervaringen en bevindingen verder uit te leggen, bootsen we de reis naar Het Figuur na in geluid en lied. Met zijn allen worden we de wind, onze voetstappen, de aanwijzingen van Sehnor Hermoes op onze tocht en samen zingen we de vier liederen van de karakters die we op onze weg naar Het Figuur tegenkomen: Slang Iss & Voortdurend in Beweging, Het Leek te Wezen, Roekeloze Vaart en Het Opdringerige Lijk.

Vanuit gesprekken en vragen in een sociale, filosofische en theologische context, reflecteren ze op de dagelijkse wereld om hen heen.
Eenheid tegenover veelheid, het al iets geworden zijn tegenover het nog niets geworden zijn, het onvoorspelbare tegenover het geplande en het denken tegenover het doen zijn terugkerende thema’s in hun werk.

Vanuit gesprekken en vragen in een sociale, filosofische en theologische context, reflecteren ze op de dagelijkse wereld om hen heen.

The Figure…
The idea for this play started with an article we found on NU.nl.
Dr. Soki, both geologist and social psychiatrist, states in this article, that our ground is humanizing so much that man can hardly ground anymore.
This sentence got stuck in our heads and from this point on we begin a research on what this humanizing is exactly and how it relates to both our inner landscape, the world in our head, and the outer landscape, the daily world around us.
In a short presentation we share the findings of our investigation and the contact we had with Dr. Soki. Through examples and sketches we draw a parallel between the boundaries in our heads and their inevitable reflection in the concrete world around us. Dividing the multitude around us and drawing borders may be necessary, but can also be of problem if not in balance with some sort of counterpart.
Our interest lies in this counterpart, which has, as both Soki and we realize, less to do with thinking and planning and more with the shared experience of the unknown and unpredictable.
To help us further or on way, Dr. Soki refers us to his friend Sehnor Hermoes in Brazil, who organises expeditions into the forest to The Figure of which it seemed impossible to take the human scale. We decide to go visit him and with a group of diverse people we finally make the trip into the woods.
Unable to describe and explain our experiences in words, we simulate our journey to The Figure in sound and singing. With a choir we become the wind, our footsteps, the directions of Sehnor Hermoes, and together we sing the four songs of the characters we meet on our way: Slang Iss & Voortdurend in Beweging, Het Leek te Wezen, Roekeloze Vaart and Het Opdringerige Lijk.*
